NBL D1 Recap (6/7 Dec 2025) - results, stats, streams and more

A week after a momentum-shifting win over Barnet, Solent were undone by hard-working CoLA, opening the door for Barking to re-enter the Pool B conversation.

Wins for BCU and Worcester keep the West Midlands duo out in front of Pool A, with Sheffield Arrows taking their crunch top four clash with Myerscough.

The NBL National Cup semi-final field is also set after Manchester cruised past North West rivals St Helens Saints to book their spot in the final four.

In the list below, a * is for Pool A games, and a + is for Pool B games.

Standout performances

A 25-14 fourth quarter allowed CoLA to shock Solent, sealing a statement 78-71 victory for the Londoners.

The win helped neighbours Barking, who secured an 80-72 W against Richmond to move within two points of Pool B leaders Barnet, who were without a game this weekend.

It was business as usual at the top of Pool A, with BCU easily dispatching Leicester 115-81, and Worcester edging St Helens in a 76-75 thriller thanks to a late Daijaun Antonio triple.

Liverpool continued their push towards a top-four spot as they beat rivals Manchester Magic 76-68, with Sheffield Arrows doing the same to Myerscough, winning 78-71 to strengthen their claim to third.

Their was also a first win of the season for Teesside Lions as they beat fellow strugglers Oxford Hoops, with Miles Felletti-O’Donnell's 20 points helping to seal an 82-79 W.

What does it mean for the standings? 

A small gap remains atop Pool A as BCU and Worcester's 18 points are four ahead of Sheffield Arrows and Myerscough.

The Arrows can get into the mix at the summit by winning their games in hand, with St Helens and Manchester poised to potentially do the same.

Barnet (14pts), Barking, Solent (12pts) and London Stars (10pts) make up Pool B's top four, with five teams all within four points of the quartet of playoff spots up for grabs.

Player-of-the-week candidates 

Seventeen points from Andre Gayle inspired Liverpool to their win over Manchester, cancelling out a 21-point, seven-assist effort from Magic guard Jack Walton.

Sedale Hanson-Young hit five triples on his way to 26 points for Sheffield Sharks II, with BCU's Sam Toluwase (29pts, 9reb, 6ast) and Reiss Faure-Daley (19pts, 12ast, 11stl) both going big against Leicester and Worcester's Earl Burgess (23pts, 13reb) also impressing this weekend.

Wayne Kitenge's 17-point, 12-rebound double-double couldn't keep Solent afloat against Khyle Capanzana's CoLA, with the guard dropping a well-rounded 14-point, four-rebound, four-assist, five-steal effort off the Pride bench.

Arrows' Hamza Ibrahim (26pts, 12reb) continues to pour in the points this term, Joshua Palmer (11pts, 17reb, 7ast) was a standout for Greenwich against Cobham, and Barking's Joshua Mendes (14pts, 15reb) and Dwayne Orija (23pts) enjoyed a great battle with Richmond's Callum Vines (28pts, 11reb).

NBL National Cup

Former winners Manchester Magic will join Oaklands Wolves, BCU and Solent Kestrels in the last four of the NBL National Cup after their 97-77 victory against St Helens Saints on Sunday.

Edging ahead by six at the main change, the hosts used a 30-15 third quarter to put themselves out of sight and into the competition's final four.

Dishing an impressive 25 assists as a team, Manchester's Aaron Bile (28pts, 8reb, 5ast) and Jack Walton (22pts, 7ast) both impressed, with Disraeli Lufadeju (27pts, feature image) leading the charge in reply for the Connor Murtagh-less Saints.

Manchester will now progress to face Oaklands, with Solent hosting BCU in what should be a much-anticipated affair.

Both games are scheduled for 21 December 2025.
